The Tale of Mount St. Murray State University

Many said that it couldn't be done.  Meld the Ohio Valley Conference powerhouse and the Northeast Conference pacesetter into one super-middle tier team that plays no non-conference games but has to forgo most of it's home games just so it can sate the appetites of the teams in the OVC and NEC who want to play this team at home.  Such is the fate of the Racing Mountaineers, who after listening to a CBSSports Blogger come up with a whimsical scenario, decided to integrate the two schools.  Sure the split campuses of Murray,KY and Emmitsburg, MD are a bit of a stretch especially when Justin Credible, freshman at MSMSU, has 9am class in Murray and then has to run over for 11am in Emmittsburg.
"I mean thank goodness the "Flash" is my dad otherwise I doubt I could make it 800 miles in one hour,  as is I'm usually a couple of minutes late. It's really affected my grades."
Justin's tale is tough to hear but, thanks to his gifts he can make it to class without too much trouble.  As for the benefits of the coalescion, well they are numerous.
"Our basketball team pretty much takes everyone behind the woodshed," Justin remarks, "I think we just beat Duke by like 45 points the other week."
The football, volleyball, and softball teams have also benefitted from the merger.  Perhaps most surprising of all however, is the women's lawn bowling team.  Which just stomped the Syracuse Orange on their way to their first national championship in school history.  The "Merger" as it's now being called may have just springboarded Kentucky-Maryland athletics and academics to a new level
